Affen Border Terrier

The Affen Border Terrier is a crossbreed and doesn't have much history, but its parent breeds are well-known and loved. The Affenpinscher was originally bred for hunting rats but is now a popular family companion. The Border Terrier also has hunting roots, requiring owners to keep these small, energetic dogs well-exercised and engaged.

However, both Affenpinschers and Border Terriers are recognized by the  American Kennel Club where as the Affen Border Terrier is currently only recognized by the Dog Registry of America.
